Coming from Damaraland, one stops at this station to register for the entrance to Skeleton National Park. Then you continue through the mountains of Damaraland gradually towards the Atlantic. The barren, raw landscape changes from brown-beige over 200 kilometers to light beige and finally to white. Damaraland is an incredible natural beauty - but deserted - and in the end you won't even find cacti anymore. Only skeletons on the beach. Life seems gone. This transformation of the landscape from the thriving Caprivi Strip to the Skeleton Coast is an extreme experience at about 1000 kilometers.
