This gravel road leads through Damaraland in Namibia. It is one of the few country roads in the Damara "reserve". Damaraland was offered as a reserve to the indigenous people living in southern Africa after the end of apartheid. If you drive across and visit places like Twyffelfontein, all roads are like this. If it has rained, numerous small streams or larger rivers are sometimes impassable for days. There are no bridges. Damaraland is located in northern Namibia, between the Etosha Pan and the Skeleton Coast.
