The Naukluft region is located inland in Namibia - roughly equidistant from Windhoek and Svakopmund. The famous Sussusvlei valley is about 50 kilometers away. The Naukluft mountains enchant the viewer with their many different rock formations. In February 2022 the plateau was green. Rains made it bloom and the scent of thousands of flower heads sweetly hung over the region. The photo is taken from the mountain above the Naukluft Lodge, near the Soft Adventure Lodge. A desert paradise.
