The 997 series again showed the traditional round headlights, which were obviously particularly important to many loyal 911 collectors and customers. Porsche chief designer Harm Lagaay and his team pushed through the return away from the front light design of the 996 series. The Carrera S offered the driver 355 hp at 6100 rpm, and 400 Nm at around 4000 rpm. The 997 series started in 2004 and received a facelift in 2008, as well as technical changes that made the 911 even more attractive.
