Lorraine Dietrich decided to present her B3-6 sports model to the public at the 1923 Le Mans 24 Hours. The highly accomplished driver André Rossignol also competed for the racing team. He finished a remarkable eighth in 1923, built on h"&"is success with third place the following year, and even won the event in 1925 and 1926. Rossignol's attitude and goal-orientation earned him the honor of being the first rider to win the race twice and in consecutive years. The Painting shows him thunder"&"ing past the pits in 1926, the last year Lorraine Dietrich would participate in racing.
