In 2004, Land Motorsport started working with Bilstein to develop motorsport dampers. The team entered Porsche 996 GT3-RSR in the BFGoodrich Endurance Championship and quickly became one of the strongest teams in the field. The first victory came in the fifth race. In 2007, Land Motorsport came closer than ever to victory at the Nürburgring 24 Hours. However, just a few hours before the end, Marc Basseng collided with the leading Manthey Porsche and lost around eighteen minutes due to repair work. In the end, the team around Marc Basseng, Marc Hennerici, Dirk Adorf and Frank Stippler made it to third place. The Bilstein-Porsche won a total of nineteen rounds of the long-distance championship.
