#0692 'Bluebird CN7 - The Australian Adenture'

Powered by a gas turbine, the record-breaking vehicle achieved the speed record of 403.089 mph (648.709 km/h) on July 17, 1964 in the salt bed of Lake Eyre in Australia. The specially made Dunlop tires would have withstood almost 800 km/h. The dimensions of the CN7 were monstrous: the tail fin alone was 2.35 m high. For the presentation of the car, after the record run, more than 200,000 spectators came to Aidelaide City Hall to celebrate Donald Campbell and his team.
