Porsche returned to Le Mans in 2015 with three cars. Improved versions of the 919 introduced the previous year. Surprisingly, the “leader of the pack” was Nico Hülkenberg’s car with start number 19, … and … the one here on the section of public roads through the woods before the right-hand bend, the access road to the sharp left turn, the Indianapolis curve thunders. Stablemates Mark Webber, Brendon Hartley and Timo Bernhard in the number 17 are following close behind, just ahead of the number 8 Audi R18 cars of Loïc Duval, Lucas Di Grassi and Oliver Jarvis. Another part of the chasing group features the successful Gibson 015S fielded by Jota Sport with driver Simon Dolan at the wheel, co-piloted by Mitch Evans and Oliver Turvey - class winners the year before but runners-up in 2015.
