The hun"&"ting season was truly open for Porsche in 2014. The brand's most interesting comeback in decades. Both cars racing towards the spectator had a chance of winning the LMP1 class at Le Mans. The 919 hybrid vehicles represented a completely new concept for th"&"e Zuffenhausen-based team – building on the success of the LMP2 RS Spyders from the previous decade. With a top driver line-up and a well-trained pit crew, hopes for an opening victory were high after 15 years of silence. But despite legitimate chances ov"&"er almost the entire race distance, the dream did not come true in 2014.
