Everyone knows the legendary story of how Henry Ford took revenge for Ferrari's withdrawn intention to sell by loudly slapping him in his ""living room"" at the 24 Hours of Le "&"Mans. Here's the car that achieved this – the GT 40, originally designed by Englishman Eric Broadley and built in Slough, England. The 7-liter V8 powerhouse broke Ferrari's streak of six consecutive victories at La Sarthe. The black-painted number 2, with"&" Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon at the wheel, led two identical GT 40s to a one-two-three finish.
