For the 60th birthday of the Chevrolet Corvette in 2013, the two outdated 5.5 liter V8 C6.R ZR1 racing cars were used at the end of their development program in Le Mans with high hopes. Disappointingly, partly due to gearbox problems, the #73 car's best result was only fourth place in class and 19th place overall.
