When Anthony Davidson crashed into the side of Pierguiseppe Perazzini's Ferrari on the approach to the second chicane on the Mulsanne Straight at the end of the fifth hour during the 2012 edition of Le Mans, few knew what was to come. Forced to one side by the impact of the 458, the Toyota underflated and flipped front-to-rear in mid-air before slamming backwards into the tire stack in the middle of the chicane. While Perazzini escaped unharmed, Davidson complained about two broken vertebrae. It is a miracle that things went so smoothly.
