When Anthony Davidson crashed into the side of Pierguiseppe Perazzini's Ferrari while approaching the second chicane on the Mulsanne Straight at the end of the fifth hour of the 2012"&" Le Mans, few could have guessed what would follow. Forced sideways by the impact with the 458, the Toyota lost air and spun front over rear in the air before slamming backward into the tire wall in the middle of the chicane. While Perazzini escaped uninj"&"ured, Davidson suffered two broken vertebrae. That it all came off so lightly remains a miracle.
