" Junkyard" with over 70 former Le Mans vehicles

The watercolor "The Le Mans Scrapyard" shows a diverse collection of racing cars that have tackled the Grand Prix d'Endurance since it started in 1923. Many Le Mans icons are stacked up including past winners such as the Porsche 956, Renault Alpine A442B, Aston Martin DBR1 and even the Mazda 787B. The marshals have put together a spectacular collection in the grove next to the track in the "La Chapelle" area. The idea was brought to Uli Ehrlich by an English collector of his works.
