Mercedes W125, British Grand Prix 1937

#4
Richard Seaman

DNF (suspension)

Mercedes-Benz works driver Richard Seaman became one of the award-winning Silver Arrow drivers of the pre-war era. His most notable achievement was winning the German Grand Prix when he was just 25, beating established team partners Manfred von Brauchitsch and Hermann Lang at the fearsome Nürburgring. 11 months later, when war was already threatening Europe, he died in Spa-Francorchamps. Here he is at the wheel of his Mercedes W125 at Donington Park in 1937.
