Peugeot spent millions to repeat the success of the early 1990s at Le Mans in the 21st century, only to be beaten by arch-rival Audi. That all changed in 2009, however, when the 908 HDI FAP driven by Marc Gene, Alexander Wurz and David Brabham clinched a deserved victory at La Sarthe. The watercolor shows the winning car with starting number 9 chasing down the Mulsanne straight – also known as the Hunaudières straight – at night.
