The financial success he had made in the Texas oil industry allowed Tracy Krohn to indulge his passion for Le Mans, not only fielding his own team there but also driving in 11 consecutive editions of the race. After a less than successful year with a Porsche, his team worked together with the experienced Risi-Competizione racing team – which in turn has strong support from the Ferrari factory and is based in Houston. The F430 GT2 used was second in its class in 2007. His early Ferraris, as pictured here in 2009, were all painted yellow. In 2011, when racing under his own team name, the color changed to a very intense lime green. In the last two races he fielded a Ligier LMP2 and saw the checkered flag in each case. In 2017 he will return to La Sarthe again.
