Historic racing vehicles return to the Sarthe biennially on the occasion of the Le Mans Classic days. In 2008 there was a great selection of these to indulge in. In what could have been a mid-sixties scene, two Ford GT 40s lead at Le Mans – exactly what they were meant to do: put Ferrari in their place at Le Mans. Which they then duly did with four consecutive wins between 1966 and 1969.
