Two ""super heavyweights"" of the Group C era, the Porsche 962 and the Jaguar XJR 9LM, thunder into the "&"Mulsanne corner. Followed by their fellow competitors from the Silk-Cut and Rothmann-sponsored factory teams. Brian Laban writes in his book about the 24 Hours of Le Mans that the first six cars could have fit under a towel as they braked into the Mulsann"&"e curve. This line from the book inspired me to paint this picture. Porsche dominated the race in the end. Stuck/Bell won by 20 laps. For Derek Bell, it was his fifth victory at La Sarthe.

The standard format specifications mentioned indicate the outer dimensions of the stretcher frames.<"&"br>The stretcher frames are 2 cm deep. The wooden slats of the stretcher frames are approximately 3 cm wide.
