Brake discs glow, Peugeot's lead 908 HDi FAP races into the dusk – the sunlight over the Sarthe region is fading. The Fren"&"ch brand returned to Le Mans in 2007 after a 15-year absence from sports car racing and finished second (starting number 8) behind a slower, but significantly less fragile LMP1. The pictured car, starting number 7, was not classified, despite completing 3"&"38 laps, the same number as the eighth-placed Charouz Lola-Aston Martin.

The standard format specifications mentioned indicate the outer dimensions of the stretcher frames.
