Brake discs smolder, Peugeot's lead 908 HDi FAP races into dusk - the sunlight is fading over the Sarthe region. The French marque returned to Le Mans in 2007 after a 15-year hiatus from sportscar racing, finishing second (car number 8) behind a slower but significantly less fragile Audi R10. The pictured car with starting number 7 was not classified, despite completing 338 laps and thus the same number of laps as the eighth-placed Charouz Lola-Aston Martin.
