In 2024, the Sinsheim Technology Museum will be adding a real highlight to its already magnificent exhibition, with its three halls and vast outdoor area. Joining the Concorde and Tupolev supersonic aircraft in 2024 will be the German Armed Forces' U-B"&"oat 196, a crowd-puller.
In 2023, it was transported from Kiel across the Dutch coast and down the Rhine to Speyer. This unique undertaking was broadcast on radio and television for weeks. It will be on display at the Speyer Technology Museum unti"&"l summer 2024 before being transported to Sinsheim. The sight of the submarine after its passage through the Old Bridge in Heidelberg will be spectacular. Where it is tipped onto the pontoon - and then re-erected - and transported up the Neckar.
