Hans Hermann and Richard Attwood achieved the coveted overall victory at Le Mans for Porsche, crowning their careers. The duo mastered the extr"&"emely challenging weather conditions throughout the entire race and brought their Team Salzburg 917K to the finish line as the first of only seven remaining competitors. It was a very special moment for Hermann. He had survived the most dangerous times in"&" Grand Prix and GT racing and honored his wife's wishes by retiring from racing – immediately after winning the 24 Hours.
