Hans Hermann and Richard Attwood achieved the long-awaited overall victory in Le Mans for Porsche and crowned their careers. The duo mastered the extremely challenging weather conditions throughout the entire race - and brought their Team Salzburg 917K to the finish as the first of only seven remaining competitors. It was a very special moment for Hermann. Having survived the most dangerous times in Grand Prix and GT racing, he honored his wife's wishes by retiring from racing - right after winning the 24 Hours.
