#1031 Augrabie Falls

We encountered this wonderful swallowtail butterfly on the edge of the approximately 45 meter deep Augrabie Falls in Namibia. He flapped in the updraft of the spray of the plummeting Orange River. The coolness created by the turbulent river contrasted with the early morning heat that surrounded the area surrounding the falls. The surrounding area is characterized by the always water-bearing Orange River. It produces oranges and fruit, resembling in parts Tuscany, with its farms and fruit farms.
