Ford returned to the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2016. Multimatic had a spectacular body design with two wind tun"&"nels encircling the rear end. As if on cue, Ford won the 24-hour race again on its return, exactly 50 years to the day after its first victory at Le Mans – albeit this time only in the GTE category. The balance of performance rebalanced the balance of pow"&"er in the following three years, and the GT teams had a tougher time in the GTE Pro and GTE Amateur categories. In 2019, however, the Wynns-sponsored Multimatic rocket celebrated the Amateur class, and the GT factory rocket with the number 68 achieved a t"&"op finish in the Pro class. Unfortunately, shortly after the awards ceremony, both cars were stripped of their victories due to slightly oversized fuel tanks. Euphoria and sadness are only milliliters apart at Le Mans. The #66 finished sixth in the LMGTE "&"Pro in 2019 with drivers Stefan Mücke, Olivier Pla, and Billy Johnson.
