AMG Mercedes 190 E Evo 2: This vehicle established the sportiness of the 190 and 200 series of the Mercedes-Benz brand, which until then had been "&"perceived more as safe family or business sedans. Yes, there were racing and rally cars bearing the three-pointed star that achieved considerable success in the 1930s, 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, sometimes even in standard versions. But the only car that tru"&"ly became a racing product from the Mercedes-Benz shop and available directly to dad's driveway was the Mercedes 190E in its sports versions – at least for reasonable salaries. Men like Kurt Thiim, Klaus Ludwig, Bernd Schneider, and Roland Asch were respo"&"nsible for this boom. Even today, these names give even the most elderly people in their mid-60s goosebumps. The TV battles between the DRM and DTM cars against the equally legendary M3s are a familiar sight for racing fans of that era. This watercolor sh"&"ows Klaus Ludwig winning the DTM races at the Nürburgring in 1992.
