Alpine returned to Le Mans 35 years after its overall victory with Renault in 2013. The bright blue Signatech Alpine A450, equipped with a Nissan V8 engine, was used in the LMP2 class. Pierre Ragues and Nelson Panciat"&"ici drove together for the second time for Signatech with the experienced driver Tristan Gommendy. Although they only finished 14th in the overall standings at Le Mans, they still won the drivers' and teams' world championships of the European Le Mans Ser"&"ies for that racing season.
