A male lion stands in the grass of the Etosha Pan and stays very close to his lioness, who lies in the grass next to him - and with whom he has been together for several days in order to provide for offspring. The Etosha Pan is located in northern Namibia and is usually much drier in the months of February and March. In February 2022, however, it had rained heavily and the area around the "Etosha Pan" was green and offered many water points that would otherwise have dried up.
