A TVR is more of a philosophy than just a brand. The sports cars, which were always built in small numbers, followed the basic idea of a very powerful engine, a stable steel frame, a voluminous center tunnel for the gearbox and power transmission elements, which always characterized the interior design, and the light fiberglass bodywork, which was always unusually shaped to match the spirit of the times . The core of the message, however, was always the extremely powerful engine in contrast to the often relatively small bodies. The M in the abbreviations of many British vehicles, not just TVR, stands for Martin Lilley, the owner of the TVR brand from 1965 to 1981.
