Louis Delage was a French automotive pioneer. In the years 1920 to 1930, his racing cars achieved extraordinary results on all racetracks, such as victories in Le Mans, Indianapolis and numerous victories on the Grand Prix circuits, especially in 1927. In the meantime, there were vehicles from Delage in the repertoire of the brand 11 to a proud 80 hp, but the core of the success was the D1 model in the automobile market of the 1920s. The 4-cylinder engine, suspension and steering were sophisticated, and the braking system with 4 independently working brakes represented part of his pioneering work.
