Louis Delage was a French automobile pioneer. His racing cars achieved outstanding results on all racetracks from 1920 to 1930, including victories at Le Mans and Indianapolis, and numero"&"us Grand Prix victories, especially in 1927. At times, the Delage brand's repertoire included vehicles with power ranging from 11 to a whopping 80 hp, but the D1 model formed the core of its success in the automobile market of the 1920s. The 4-cylinder en"&"gine, suspension, and steering were technically sophisticated, and the braking system with four individually operating brakes represented part of his pioneering work.
