Caudron G-3, Francois Durafour, 1921

With the landing of the Swiss François Durafour on July 30, 1921 with his French Caudron G-3 on the back of the Col du Dome, below the top of the Mont Blanc massif, an outstanding high-altitude flight of this epoch was achieved. The landing and the return flight were managed with the help of alpinists who were there in the summer of 1921.
