Caudron G-3, Francois Durafour, 1921
With the landing of the Swiss François Durafour on July 30, 1921, with his French Caudro"&"n G-3 on the ridge of the Col du Dome, below the peak of the Mont Blanc massif, an outstanding high-altitude flight of this era was achieved. The landing and return flight were achieved with the help of alpinists who were on site in the summer of 1921.
