#0711 Jaguar XK120

Beautifully sculpted by Sir William Lyons, Jaguar's XK 120s were initially planned as 240 models, with aluminum parts nailed to an ash wood framework - a common low-volume bodywork technique at the time. After the demand was foreseeably high, a total of 7,373 convertibles with welded sheet steel were manufactured from 1951 to 1954, as well as 2,674 pieces of the "Fixed Head", i.e. coupe variant. The more powerful SE variant of the XK 120 already offered 180 hp as standard. The XK 120 was followed by the XK 140 in 1954.
