Aston Martin's LMP1 and GT race cars wore Gulf Oil's mythical light blue and orange color combination at Le Mans for almost a decade. The DBR9 as GT1 class winner (middle left), the AMR1-2 developed from the Lola which finished fourth overall in 2009 (far right), the innovative but fragile AMR-One from Le Mans 2012 (far left) and the Vantage GTE, which also took an LM GTE Pro podium in 2012 (centre right) have all achieved the rank of Gulf icon.
