Bruce McLaren's Cooper T60 leads Phil Hill and Dan Gurney's Porsche 804 F8 through the tight corners of Monaco. The New Zealander wins this Grand Prix by just 1.3 seconds over Hill, while Lorenzo Bandini, at the wheel,"&" reaches the podium in third place, albeit 90 seconds back. Gurney's brand new Porsche was just ready for the first Grand Prix of the 1962 season. In qualifying, Gurney had achieved a promising third-best time. Team partner Joakim Bonnier was still drivin"&"g the previous year's car, but it lasted until the finish line.
