Arthur Duraj steers his Lorraine-Dietrich to victory in the 1906 Ardennes Grand Prix. The nearly 1,000-kilometer race consisted of seven laps around the Belgian town of Bastogne, where the drivers were already able to reach speeds in excess of 160 kilometers per hour. Born in New York, Duraj was best known for his attempts to break the land speed record, but he was also a popular winner in the Ardennes thanks to his Belgian parents.
