Vic Elford stands alongside one of the most outstanding racing cars he has driven in his long career. The Porsche 917 long tail that “Quick Vic” shared with Kurt Ahrens at Le Mans in 1970. The Brit was able to take advantage of the aerodynamically superior car and secured pole position with an average speed that exceeded 150 miles an hour (approx. 220 km/h) for the first time.
