For me as a German, these English racing cars are an expression of a very special time. The majestic, huge form of the Bentleys, which Ettore Bugatti mockingly referred to as trucks, combine power with dignity for me. It's like recognizing a strongly built, muscular man as a gentleman, because he comes in a tuxedo and a white stand-up collar shirt. For me, the Bentleys have both: dignity and muscular sportiness.
