The legendary Gulf livery returned to Le Mans 2008 on the works Aston Martin DBR9. The oil company "dressed" a long and distinguished list of vehicles in its blue and orange livery. Gulf-sponsored entrants triumphed on three occasions - '68, '69 and '75 - and while Aston's GT1s were never quite able to match that against the overpowering prototypes, it was enough to secure class victory - thanks to the "009" and its drivers Turner, Brabham and Garcia.
