#1018 'Queen of Africa

The Chobe River National Park has completely captivated us. We sit in our ""Regina"" and enjoy the incredible view of the river islands in the Chobe River. We drive a little further and notice the crocodiles, hippos, and elephants to our right. Then, a"&"lmost unnoticed, another vehicle drives onto the river bank and brakes in the distance. Only after a while do we realize that the occupants aren't photographing the river, but rather inland. And then it suddenly becomes clear to us why. The lioness and he"&"r sister are just finishing their evening meal at the river's edge. Completely peaceful – because jeeps are air to the lions. So we stand less than 30 meters away and drive slowly and quietly towards them. An incredible view – lionesses in the wild – undi"&"sturbed. One of the highlights of our two-month trip. The ""Queen of Africa"" ​​was our topic of conversation for a long time.
